Booster Robotics SDK
Booster Robotics' free toolkit for programming its humanoid robots. Developers can give simple commands, such as telling the robot to walk, or work at a lower level, reading sensors and controlling joints directly. It comes as a C++ package on GitHub with a separate Python version. Booster says the T2 gives developers high- and low-level SDK access, but the repository does not name the T2.

Strengths and trade-offs
Our analysisStrengths
Free, under an open licence that allows commercial use.
Offers both simple commands and full low-level control.
Works from both C++ and Python.
Comes with example programs.
Trade-offs
The core is supplied as a ready-built library, so its inner workings cannot be read.
Only works with Booster robots.
Short documentation in the repository itself.
The repository does not say which robots, such as the T2, it supports.
Why robot makers choose it
Our readBooster sells its robots to universities, robot football teams and developers who want to write their own software. A free toolkit with both simple and detailed control lets them start quickly and go deep when they need to.
This is our reasoning from the public facts. No maker has confirmed it.
Robots using it
This list covers only the robots researched so far. A robot missing here may still use this part.
