Robots/Parts/Chip
Intel Core i7
A higher-end processor from Intel, a step up from the Core i5. On the H2 EDU, the version of Unitree's H2 humanoid sold for research and development, Unitree lists a second computer with an Intel Core i7 for custom development, so buyers can run their own software beside the robot's built-in computer. Unitree does not say which generation or model number it is.

Price guide
Our estimateOur estimate
Roughly US$380 to US$400
Unitree has not named the chip, so this is not its price. It is Intel's recommended customer price for one current Core i7, the 14th-generation desktop i7-14700, shown for scale. Laptop and embedded versions are sold to computer makers, and their prices vary.

Strengths and trade-offs
Our analysisStrengths
A separate computer for the buyer's own programs, so they do not disturb the robot's built-in control.
More power than the Core i5 for heavier software.
Runs ordinary computer software, so researchers can start quickly.
Trade-offs
Still not built for heavy AI work. Unitree offers add-on AI computers such as Nvidia's Thor for that.
Uses more power, which shortens battery life.
The model is not named, so buyers cannot compare it with other robots.
Why robot makers choose it
Our readResearchers want to run their own code without risking the software that keeps the robot upright. A second, familiar Intel computer gives them that space, and it is one of the things that justifies the higher price of the EDU version.
This is our reasoning from the public facts. No maker has confirmed it.
Robots using it
This list covers only the robots researched so far. A robot missing here may still use this part.
