Jetson Orin2026 Education and Navigation editionsIn storeListedUS$699Confirmed

A small, powerful computer made for running AI inside machines. The PM01 carries an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module with 16 GB of memory, a small computer built for running AI on robots.

Part priceListedUS$699

The launch price of the Orin NX 16GB module on its own. Reports in 2026 say Nvidia has since raised Jetson prices sharply, with this module's volume price going from US$599 to US$999.

Single-unit store price. Robot companies buying in volume usually pay less.

8-core CPU2026 Education and Navigation editionsConfirmed

A general-purpose processor with eight cores. Next to the Jetson there is an 8-core high-performance main processor. The launch release says the computer is built on the x86 design used in PCs; the chip model is not named.

Intel N97Rumoured

A low-power 4-core Intel processor made for small computers. Some reseller listings name the main processor as an Intel N97. That clashes with EngineAI's own spec of an 8-core processor, since the N97 has four cores.

Why not confirmed. Only reseller listings say it; EngineAI's own pages and launch release do not name the chip.

Motion capture2026 Education and Navigation editionsConfirmed

Recording how real people move with tracking equipment, so a robot can learn from those movements. EngineAI records people with optical motion capture, cameras that track markers on a body, and teaches the PM01 to copy those moves.

Reinforcement learningConfirmed

Learning by trial and error, keeping what works. EngineAI trains PM01 skills by trial and error in simulation. Its open code covers whole-body motion tracking, human-style walking with AMP and a lidar navigation policy trained with PPO, a common trial-and-error method.

Isaac LabIn storeListedFreeConfirmed

The newer version of Nvidia's robot training simulator. EngineAI's open training code for the PM01 runs on NVIDIA Isaac Lab 2.3.2 and Isaac Sim 5.1.0, a robot simulator that trains thousands of copies at once.

Part priceListedFree

Free and open. It needs an Nvidia graphics card to run.

MuJoCoIn storeListedFreeConfirmed

An open physics simulator used to test robot movement. Trained skills are checked in the MuJoCo physics simulator before going onto the real robot, and EngineAI's SDK ships a MuJoCo setup for the PM01.

Recorded human movementConfirmed

Recordings of how people move, translated to the robot's joints so it learns natural movement. EngineAI's GMR tool converts recordings of human movement, including the public AMASS library, into motions the PM01 can play.

EngineAI joint actuators2026 Education and Navigation editionsIn-houseConfirmed

EngineAI's own joint modules: a permanent magnet motor, gearbox and bearing in one unit. All 24 joints use EngineAI's own joint modules with fast inner-rotor permanent magnet motors. Top torque is 164 Nm and peak torque density is 145 Nm per kilogram; EngineAI's robot model file gives 164 Nm to the hip pitch, hip roll and knee joints and 61 Nm to the rest.

Crossed roller bearings2026 Education and Navigation editionsOur estimateConfirmed

Joint output bearings with rollers set at right angles, so one bearing carries loads from every direction. Each joint's output sits on industrial-grade crossed roller bearings, which take heavy loads from several directions in a thin ring.

Part priceOur estimateUS$130 to US$200

Robot companies do not sell the crossed roller bearings in their joints, and the one found in a G1 is a Luoyang Baina part with no public price, so this is not its price. It is the price of comparable branded crossed roller bearings a builder can buy one at a time, with a bore of 35 to 40 mm like the Baina CRBT355A. A crossed roller bearing has small rollers set at right angles to each other so one thin ring can carry loads from every direction; Chinese companies selling in bulk to robot companies likely charge much less.

Not disclosed2026 Education and Navigation editionsEngineAI does not say what kind of gearbox sits inside the PM01's joints, or who makes it.

PM01 smart battery, 10,000 mAh2026 Education and Navigation editionsConfirmed

The PM01's quick-release battery pack, about 2 hours per charge. A 10,000 mAh smart battery comes out quickly for swapping and runs the robot for about 2 hours. It charges at 54.6 V and 4.5 A in about 2 hours; the cell company is not named.
